The Hebron Airport Authority is letting bids for a rotating beacon and tip-down tower. We are grateful to the maintenance/electrical staff at the City of Hebron who have been able to keep our current beacon working until we could get this replacement project approved for funding through the Nebraska Department of Transportation – Aviation Division. Bid documents, project drawings, and technical specifications can be obtained at Kirkham, Michael & Associates, Inc in Lincoln – Phone #402-430-3102. Tiffany Thompson and Eric Johnson from that office are the engineering staff coordinating this project on behalf of the Hebron Airport Authority.
Sealed proposals are due to Kirkham, Michael & Associates by August 4 at 11 a.m. Bid opening at at 11 a.m.. Review of the bids by engineering staff, and a formal recommendation for bid acceptance will be made to the Airport Authority for final bid award at the regular meeting of the Hebron Airport Authority scheduled for Monday, August 10 a.m. at 6:30 p.m.
